French firm takes stake in ANA Chartered Loss Adjusters

ANA Chartered Loss Adjusters will rebrand as vrs ANA and be part of the Adenes Group after selling a minority stake to French loss adjuster vrs Vering.

The agreement follows ANA’s transition from a network model to a corporate professional services firm in recent years. As vrs ANA, it will form part of a global network, including an Asia-Pacific office in Singapore managed by vrs ANA MD Jaye Kumar, who notes Vering is a long-standing partner of ANA.

“We are delighted they share our corporate strategy for growth and diversification in Australia and the region,” Mr Kumar said. “Vering’s trust and faith in ANA gives us even greater continuity and further momentum in respect of acquisitions, recruitment, product development and ongoing organic growth.”

Vering CEO and vrs Adjusters President Tancrede Stagnara tells insuranceNEWS.com.au ANA’s growth and focus on quality claims services compliments vrs Adjusters’ ambition to be the premium claims solutions provider globally.

“ANA is a very familiar business to us and we have enjoyed watching their remarkable growth over the last three years under the care of Jaye Kumar and CEO Chay Wilkinson,” Mr Stagnara said.

Sydney-based Mr Wilkinson is supported in Australia by Manager Technical Luke Stuart and Manager Operations Mike Pagels. He took over at the start of 2021, joining from WTW Australia where he led the NSW Construction, Property & Casualty claims team. He was formerly head of claims Asia Pacific at Markel International in Singapore and worked as an in-house counsel and in private practice.

vrs Vering services large European insurers and other clients. The vrs network has over 300 offices in 140 countries.

ANA provides general, engineering, construction and specialist claims and risks across Australia and Asia for insurers, reinsurers, captives and brokers. It also offers risk assessment and claims consultancy.

In 2013, ANA restructured after its six partners split because they could not agree on the group’s future direction. They liquidated the company and offered it for sale among themselves, with Mr Kumar winning the tender.

The business now has more than 40 service locations across Australia and a team of more than 80 qualified adjusters and technical experts to support clients here.
