Veteran broker and former Wallabies rugby union captain Tony Shaw has left Marsh and joined the corporate broking team at Gallagher in Brisbane as Executive Director.

He is joined by fellow veteran broker Mark Richardson, who steps into the role of Manager, Corporate.

Mr Shaw, who was made a Member of the Order of Australia last year, spent 23 years at Marsh, most recently as a director.

Mr Richardson joins Gallagher after more than 17 years at JLT Australia, most recently as divisional manager. Over three decades in the broking industry his clients have spanned the finance, transport & logistics, aviation, waste management and property industries.

Last month Gallagher Australia appointed Katherine Simmonds, most recently with Willis Towers Watson, as Head of Corporate with effect from March. She will be based in Gallagher’s North Sydney offices working with teams around Australia.
