Fifteen in running for NIBA young broker award 

The National Insurance Brokers Association has named 15 finalists who are vying to be crowned young broker of the year.

The award, sponsored by Vero for 35 years, celebrates under-35s who strive to go “above and beyond” and uphold the highest standards of professionalism. 

At upcoming gala lunches, NIBA will name five state winners. The national winner will be announced at the NIBA Convention in October.

In NSW/ACT, the finalists are Austbrokers Canberra account manager Emily-Rose Srbinovska, Confio Insurance MD William Freitas and Aviso Broking account manager Christian Athanasakis.

The Victoria/Tasmania finalists are Lockton client manager corporate Shweta Nimkar, RSM Group senior account manager Steven Richards and Honan client executive Dion Owens.

In the running in Queensland are Adroit Insurance risk adviser Ellen Mills and WTW account executive Jodie Krafft.

In WA, finalists are Knightcorp Insurance Brokers commercial manager Nikita Willis, Sparksure MD Casey Fenton and Oracle Group account manager Chloe Walker.

There are four finalists in SA/NT: Guardian Insurance Brokers account executive Kaitlin Munn, Kerrie Woodards Insurance senior account executive Jack Miles, Aon client manager Lachlan Birrell and Holdfast Insurance Brokers account manager Rebecca Heatley.  

“Congratulations to all the finalists,” NIBA CEO Richard Klipin said today. “Thank you to the Vero team for their commitment to fostering the development of future leaders in our industry.”
