Ex-Steadfast EGM becomes Cover.Insure chief
Chris Rouse has been appointed CEO at direct-to-consumer business Cover.Insure, which has started out offering travel insurance in partnership with Battleface.
The Cover.Insure portfolio will soon be expanded to include motor, home and contents, and pet cover, the company says.
Sydney-based Mr Rouse was formerly EGM of technology at Steadfast, having been promoted in May 2022 after two years as chief information security officer.
“Our mission is to empower customers by making insurance simple, transparent and accessible,” Mr Rouse said. “We’re leveraging state-of-the-art technology to ensure a streamlined experience, from purchasing to claims management.
“We’re also introducing discounts for customers who bundle multiple policies.”
Cover.Insure says it provides easy policy management and discounts for bundling via the EnsurTek platform.
EnsurTek CEO Anton Royce says the partnership will “help bring a new level of digital innovation to the insurance space. Chris’ forward-thinking approach aligns perfectly with EnsurTek’s mission to make insurance management simple and intuitive ... We’re excited about the value this will bring to the market.”
