Zurich’s Cover-More travel arm has appointed Justin Sebire as interim Group CEO.

Sydney-based Mr Sebire will oversee day-to-day operations in addition to his responsibilities as Group CFO, a role he took up in March last year after three years as Catholic Church Insurance CFO.

Cover-More said in November it would recruit a new chief after Cara Morton left to become Zurich Global Ventures CEO, relocating from Sydney to Switzerland.

“Mr Sebire is an accomplished executive with more than 25 years of global leadership experience with major insurance companies, and has worked in Europe, the UK, Asia and Australia,” Cover-More said.

He previously spent almost eight years in senior roles at Suncorp and has held executive positions at Axa and Bupa. He is also a non-executive director at Phoenix Health Fund.

Ms Morton was appointed Cover-More group CEO in 2020 after acting as COO from 2018. She was formerly group head of operations at QBE.

Cover-More, which is headquartered in Sydney, has 17 million customers and operations in the US, Canada, Europe, the UK, Latin America and New Zealand.
