Cover-More makes management changes, sees travel rebound
Cover-More is making changes to its Australian and New Zealand management following the resignation of Asia Pacific CEO Judith Crompton, as the Zurich-owned insurer looks ahead to a post-lockdown travel rebound.
Ms Crompton, who joined the travel insurer in 2016, has decided to leave the group at the end of this year, the company said.
From January 1 Todd Nelson will assume the newly created role of MD Australia, responsible for distribution partnerships and operations. Previous roles he has held with Cover-More have included EGM Group Digital Sales, according to his LinkedIn page.
Will Ashcroft becomes MD New Zealand and New Business ANZ, continuing to have responsibility for distribution partnerships and operations in New Zealand, while the role is also expanded to include strategic business development across both Australia and New Zealand.
“We expect the travel rebound for both countries to be considerable and this leadership will allow each country to embark on a specific and ambitious rebound strategy,” a spokesman told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
“Cover-More, as a global travel insurance provider, remains committed to the broader Asia Pacific region.”
Group CEO Cara Morton says Ms Crompton has done “an amazing job” in leading the Asia Pacific business through the most turbulent time in the group’s 35-year history.
“We sincerely thank Judith for everything she has contributed during her five years with our global group,” Ms Morton said.
