Melbourne-based brokerage BJS and Gary Morton Insurance Brokers in Hurstville, NSW, have entered into a partnership agreement.

They will trade as BJS Morton Insurance Brokers NSW starting tomorrow, BJS MD Belinda Scott told insuranceNEWS.com.au today.

“The BJS group is looking to expand its national footprint. We have a presence in Sydney but obviously we want a larger footprint to service our clients better in the Sydney market.”

BJS wants a partner who shares similar values and culture, and the Hurstville business ticked the boxes.

“We are quite particular on ensuring that our culture, anybody that comes to join our team and becomes part of the BJS group, we certainly want to make sure we get the right people and right culture first,” Ms Scott said.

“Gary Morton Insurance Brokers was a very good fit from that perspective.”

The expanded group sees huge opportunities by working together.

“We see significant growth in the Sydney market and it’s more about having that footprint to service our clients and a better national footprint,” Ms Scott said.

“We are super excited about the opportunities it will bring.”
