ASIC leader to speak at Outlook 2025 conference

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission will outline its general insurance priorities at Insurance News’ upcoming Outlook 2025 conference.

The corporate regulator’s senior executive leader of the credit, banking and general insurance team, Nathan Bourne, is also expected to address lessons learnt from recent investigations and inquiries.

Early bird tickets for the event in Sydney on March 12 are available here until February 7.

The conference’s opening session will examine the findings of an exclusive market report, before Hollard Australia founder Richard Enthoven speaks on growth opportunities in the local market.

The affordability challenge in home insurance will be discussed by Insurance Council of Australia GM of regulatory and consumer policy Alexandra Hordern, chief corporate affairs officer for Allianz Nicholas Scofield and the Financial Rights Legal Centre’s Julia Davis.

Australian Financial Complaints Authority GM of code compliance Prue Monument will then tackle expectations around transparency, and a panel of CEOs and business leaders will examine trending challenges and opportunities.

The panel includes IAG CEO Nick Hawkins, Lloyd’s regional director Chris Mackinnon, Suncorp CEO of commercial and personal injury Michael Miller, and Liberty senior VP for Asia-Pacific Ben Hissey.
