Aon unveils post-WTW merger executive team
Aon has announced the executive team that will lead the company under CEO Greg Case after completion of its $US30 billion ($39 billion) merger with Willis Towers Watson.
The company, which last year named Christa Davies as CFO and Willis Towers Watson CEO John Haley as Executive Chairman, confirms Eric Andersen will be President, and has released regional and other management appointments that draw on personnel from both firms.
North America will be led by Alexis Faber, Asia-Pacific by Anne Corona, the UK by Julie Page and Europe, the Middle East and Africa by Eduardo Davila. For Latin America, the company named Luis Maurette as CEO and Alejandro Galizia as President.
In the Commercial Risk segment, Lambros Lambrou was named CEO and Adam Garrard President and CEO, Global Broking.
In Reinsurance, Andy Marcell will be CEO and James Kent Deputy CEO. The Health, Wealth and Career segment will be led by Julie Gebauer, who is also Head of Strategy.
“Aon and Willis Towers Watson have a unique opportunity to create a combined firm that will make an even greater difference in the global economy and provide unparalleled experiences for our clients and colleagues,” Mr Case said.
“All of the leaders we are announcing today are highly accomplished and true advocates of the one firm mindset that will be at the core of the new Aon.”
The executive committee will also include International Chairman Carlo Clavarino, Chief Client Officer Lori Goltermann, CFO Business Maggie Westdale, Chief Innovation Officer Anne Pullum, Chief Marketing Officer Andy Weitz, Internal Communications Pam Rollins, General Counsel Darren Zeidel, Chief People Officer Lisa Stevens, Chief Operating Officer James Platt and Chief of Staff Katherine Gehman.
Aon and Willis Towers Watson shareholders approved the deal last year after the all-stock transaction creating the world’s biggest broker was announced in March.
The company last month said the European Commission had initiated a Phase II review of the merger, but the deal remains on track for completion in the first half of this year.
Aon is yet to make any announcements on key appointments for Australia and New Zealand.
