Aon has appointed John Carroll as Reinsurance Solutions CEO Australia and New Zealand as part of key changes to its Asia Pacific leadership team.

Mr Carroll, currently Head of Treaty Australia and New Zealand for Reinsurance Solutions, will also join the Reinsurance Solutions APAC Executive Committee.

He will be responsible for leading Aon’s business in the region, delivering on strategic priorities and helping clients mitigate risk and access capital in his new role, the broker says.

Mr Carroll is taking over from Robert De Souza, who will commence as Reinsurance Solutions President of APAC on January 1.

Aon says Mr De Souza will focus on supporting clients across the region, helping them make “better decisions” and driving the business strategic growth priorities.

The executive changes follow the appointment of Jeremy Goodman as UK President of Reinsurance Solutions, and his move from Singapore to London.

Mr Carroll and Mr De Souza will report to Reinsurance Solutions CEO APAC George Attard.

“They are both highly experienced and proven professionals, with the requisite skills to take business results and innovation to the next level, while helping our clients build resilience and navigate significant global and regional volatility,” Mr Attard said.
