Aon Australia head promoted to Asia-Pacific role
Aon Australia CEO Jennifer Richards will become CEO for Asia-Pacific on March 1, taking over from Anne Corona, who was recently named enterprise clients chief and global chief commercial officer.
The global broker says its search for a new head of Australia has begun, and Ms Richards and the Australian executive leadership team will continue working together to ensure a smooth transition.
In her new role, Ms Richards will work with the Asia-Pacific executive committee to “enhance the firm’s capabilities across the region”.
She will report to CEO of regions Lori Goltermann, join the Aon executive committee and move to Singapore from Sydney.
“The Asia-Pacific region is critical to Aon’s strategy, representing significant growth opportunities across a diverse market,” Ms Goltermann said.
“Jennifer’s experience, Aon United mindset and ability to build and inspire high-performing teams position her to lead the Asia-Pacific region to continued success.”
Ms Richards began her current role in October 2021, becoming the first woman to run the broker’s business in Australia, after James Baum moved to London for a new position.
Before joining Aon, she held several senior management roles at AIG.
“I am looking forward to working even more closely with talented colleagues across the region to further build on our existing momentum and accelerate our ability to help our clients navigate the multifaceted, complex and interconnected challenges they face,” Ms Richards wrote on LinkedIn.
“I feel so privileged to have had 13 wonderful years with Aon in Australia – and the opportunity to work with such incredible colleagues, carriers and clients.
“Fortunately, Australia is an important part of the Asia-Pacific region and I will hold all these relationships tightly as I start my exciting next chapter with Aon in Singapore.”
