360 Underwriting Solutions has announced Paul Riordan has started today as Executive Director of the 360 Commercial business.

Mr Riordan was most recently with Allianz, where he was State Manager NSW/ACT for almost three years. He joined the insurer in 2008 as senior key account manager for broker and agency, and later took on other roles, according to his LinkedIn account.

In his new role, he reports to Chris Lynch, who has responsibility for the agency’s commercial business classes. Mr Lynch says the appointment is a boost for the agency’s growth plans.

“With the 360 Commercial business now three times its size from initial purchase, and with the amount of agency opportunities on the horizon, it was imperative to appoint someone of [his] ability and pedigree to continue building 360 Commercial,” Mr Lynch told insuranceNEWS.com.au today.

With Mr Riordan now part of the business, Mr Lynch says he will continue to deliver solutions to the broker market with Denis Morrissey, who co-founded 360 Underwriting Solutions with him in 2017.

Mr Lynch and Mr Morrissey were formerly with Allianz, holding the positions of National Manager Key Partners and GM Commercial respectively when they left to run their own business.

They bought a business pack underwriting agency from AUB-owned Sura and established it as two companies, 360 Underwriting Solutions and 360 Commercial.
