Zurich Financial Services has increased its investment into insurance and risk management service Global Corporate, targeting Australian and New Zealand corporates worth more than $300 million.

Spokesman Rob White says the insurer is now taking greater advantage of its international network by covering multinational companies with business in Australia and Australian businesses that have exposure overseas.

“We see this as an area where we can grow because we have the global capabilities, which a lot of local insurers don’t have,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

Zurich has made several appointments to promote the program locally. Helen Dickinson is Head of Operations, Paul Schappacher is the Chief Underwriting Officer, and Nigel Whyatt is Claims Manager. Kai Dwyer is Head of Global Corporate Australia.
