Zurich has appointed Daniel Franzetti as Chief Claims Officer, covering general insurance in Australia and New Zealand.

He replaces Stephen Brooks, who resigned in June after 27 years with the company.

Mr Franzetti has worked for Zurich for 17 years and has previously led claims teams in North America and the global general insurance practice.

He will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise, according to Zurich CEO General Insurance Daniel Fogarty.

Mr Franzetti will report to Mr Fogarty and Regional Chief Claims Officer GI Asia-Pacific Duane Perkins, who has relocated to Hong Kong to take over the role from Steve Bauer.
