Zurich General Insurance has appointed Anthony Cooper as Head of Commercial Distribution.

His role covers SME and mid-market segments, and he will report to EGM Commercial Adrian Riminton.

Mr Cooper worked for Lumley from 2010 to last December, including as head of distribution. Before that he was with Suncorp and IAG.

Zurich says it has widened the role, adding responsibility for mid-market business following its restructure last year. That reorganisation saw previous head of commercial distribution Anthony Pagano leave, and he has since moved to Vero.
