Zurich General Insurance will restructure into two divisions – “SME fast flow” and “corporate” incorporating mid-market and global corporate business.

COO Daniel Fogarty will become EGM of the corporate business, with responsibility for managing the case underwriting, customer and distribution of the global corporate and mid-market customer segments.

The SME team, led by GM SME & Packages Shaun Feely, will continue to manage the high-volume, less complex “fast flow” business including business written via the Z.steamXpress platform.

CEO Shane Doyle says the changes will take effect on January 1.

“By bringing the management of global corporate and mid-market together we will leverage global knowledge and expertise to enhance overall service and build an even stronger, more empowered, customer-centric team on the ground,” he said.

Kai Dwyer will become GM Customer and Distribution, working across both corporate and SME.

Head of Operations Elizabeth Taylor will replace Mr Fogarty as COO.
