Zurich buys HealthLogix wellbeing provider
Zurich has agreed to acquire Melbourne-based digital health and wellbeing service provider HealthLogix to further expand its LiveWell business.
It has also agreed to buy South Africa’s HealthInsite, which together with HealthLogix is known as HLX.
The two businesses offer health and wellbeing solutions for corporate employees and retail customers who are accessed on mobile or web applications.
Zurich has worked closely with HLX since 2018, providing its own corporate and retail customers with customised wellbeing solutions in Australia and Brazil, and more recently in Spain.
The transaction, which is subject to foreign investment approval in Australia, will strengthen Zurich LiveWell’s technology, data analytics and multimedia content delivery capabilities.
The business will be part of Zurich’s new Global Business Platforms unit, which focuses on digital services and solutions.
HLX co-founder and CEO Denis Cronson will be Chief Sales and Distribution Officer for Zurich LiveWell, responsible for building and delivering the go-to-market strategy and sales and distribution models in the corporate and retail business.
Sydney-based Sally Phillips has been appointed Chief Product and Proposition Officer of Zurich LiveWell from November. She joins from TAL, where she was most recently GM, Health Services.
The HealthLogix website says its wellness programs offer tracking, leaderboards and activity challenges, engaging programs to drive behaviour change, articles and healthy recipes, a partner rewards system, targeted messaging and push notifications and personalised reports, recommendations and a health score.
Clients are based in Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, Malaysia, Korea and India.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
