Paul Bedbrook has been appointed Chairman of Zurich Financial Services Australia. He replaces Terry Paradine who will retire on March 31.

Mr Paradine was chairman for seven years and before that a director for four years. He is also a former chairman of Marsh & McLennan Asia-Pacific.

Sydney-based Mr Bedbrook has been a non-executive director of Zurich since 2012. He is also Chairman of Elanor Investors Group and a non-executive director of Credit Union Australia.

Before becoming a professional company director in 2011, Mr Bedbrook held positions in the insurance and financial services sector including ING Insurance Asia-Pacific regional CEO, ING Australia CEO and ING Bank of Canada CEO.
