XL’s Robin Johnson will head Australian operations for the merged XL Catlin.

He was previously XL’s country manager for Singapore. He joined Ireland-based XL in February from AIG, where he was head of broker and client management for Asia.

Catlin’s Head of Australian Operations, Andrew Case, has been appointed Regional Distribution Director, based in Sydney.

As previously reported in insuranceNEWS.com.au, XL’s Craig Langham will head insurance for the Asia-Pacific region.

In reinsurance, Peter Schmidt, currently Group CEO of Catlin Re Switzerland, will become CEO of Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
