Wyatt calls it quits

Peter Wyatt, CEO and MD of national claims management company Wyatt Gallagher Bassett, has resigned from the company after selling his 50% share.

He has sold to his partners, US-based Gallagher Bassett, a subsidiary of major international insurance broker and risk management firm Arthur J Gallagher.

Mr Wyattt will consult to the company, but says that after 23 years at the helm in a demanding role that has involved a lot of travel, “I am keen to spend more time with my family”.

No replacement for Brisbane-based Mr Wyatt has yet been named, with Gallagher Bassett International Vice President Russ Parsons continuing to oversee the operation.
