WTW appoints Michael Brown New Zealand head

Willis Towers Watson (WTW) has appointed Michael Brown as Head of New Zealand following a period in the position on an interim basis.

Mr Brown has been with WTW for more than 15 years and the company says he has covered the full spectrum of broking during his career, working with large corporates with complex requirements through to SMEs.

Head of Australasia and Head of Corporate Risk & Broking Asia Pacific Simon Weaver says Mr Brown has extensive relationships and knowledge of the local market.

“Michael has done a superb job of leading the business since May and is supported in his new role by a strong team of long-serving leaders from across the business,” Mr Weaver said.

Mr Brown worked for local and international brokers as well as in underwriting and claims for major insurers before joining WTW. As head of New Zealand, he is based in Auckland.

“We will continue to build on our unique client value proposition by launching enhanced analytics and new technology to help our clients make more fact-based decisions around their risk and insurance, while providing fresh insights from around the world to help them meet emerging trends,” he said last week.
