Zurich-owned World Travel Protection (WTP) has announced Alerah Turner as its new Chief Operating Officer.

The travel risk management firm says Sydney-based Ms Turner will relocate to London to lead the group’s Uxbridge Command Centre, where she will be responsible for the strategic and operational direction of its global emergency assistance command centres.

Ms Turner, who most recently served as Director of Global Provider Networks, has held several senior roles at the group, having worked almost 20 years at WTP and its parent company Cover-More.

WTP says it will look for a replacement for Ms Turner’s previous role in the coming weeks.
