WorkCover licence and new name for Wyatt Gallagher Bassett

Claims management company Wyatt Gallagher Bassett has been given a licence to move into the NSW workers’ compensation market. And it’s changing its name, with co-founder Peter Wyatt’s name failing to make the cut. The company will take the name of its US owner, Gallagher Bassett Services.

It will operate its NSW WorkCover business under the name Gallagher Bassett Services Workers’ Compensation NSW.

National GM Workers’ Compensation Jon Winsbury says the new licence will demonstrate the company’s ability to “quickly establish stable operations in a new environment”.

Gallagher Bassett Services has wide international workers’ comp experience, and has been in the Victorian workers’ compensation market since 2002. It’s also a third party administrator and manages a range of insurance claims including motor fleet, medicinal malpractice, property and liability claims.
