Whitbread Insurance Brokers has acquired Alan Quantrell Insurance Brokers in Melbourne and Eastwood Insurance Brokers in Sydney.

It’s all part of beefing up the Melbourne-based company’s operations following the establishment of a branch office in Sydney last year.

Chairman and MD John Whitbread says Mr Quantrell will continue to act as a consultant, and the Eastwood team under Ray James will move to the new Whitbread office in North Sydney early next month.

“We are consolidating ourselves in the Sydney market and further expanding our position in the Melbourne insurance broking market,” he said.

“We see a great future for our company as we move forward with family members [children John-Paul, Angela and Claire] taking a more active management role.”
