Wesfarmers has denied market rumours that it plans to offer insurance to tradesmen through its Bunnings hardware chain.

Industry sources say Wesfarmers Insurance intends to offer a Bunnings-branded product, building on the success of Coles-branded personal insurance sold through the conglomerate’s supermarket chain.

But a spokesman told insuranceNEWS.com.au there is no plan to launch Bunnings-branded insurance.
