Wesfarmers declares OAMPS deal unconditional
Perth conglomerate Wesfarmers has declared its $700 million bid for broking network OAMPS free from all conditions – including 90% minimum acceptance.
Wesfarmers, which now owns almost 90% of the group, has instructed financial institution ABN AMRO to start processing acceptances under the Institutional Acceptance Collection Facility.
Wesfarmers will start buying OAMPS shares at any price up to but not exceeding $4.39. Now that the group has declared the offer unconditional, shareholders who have already accepted the offer will be sent their offer consideration within a week.
Shareholders who have not accepted the offer but accept it now that it is unconditional will be sent their offer consideration within a week of acceptance.
Wesfarmers MD Richard Goyder says the company is pleased with the deal’s progress so far.
“I would encourage those who have not yet accepted to do so now to ensure they receive payment with a minimum of delay” he said.
The offer closes on Friday.
