Just Car Insurance has conceded it isn’t the first insurer to launch a claims function on the Apple iPhone.

The Suncorp-owned niche car insurer issued a retraction this afternoon in which it admits “several similar applications have been available to Australian iPhone users before Just Car launched its iClaim on October 21”.

“Just Car Insurance was not aware of these similar applications at the time and would not have made the claim if it had known.”
