Vivek Bhatia has formally adopted the title of Lumley General Insurance CEO ahead of predecessor David Matcham’s retirement in June.

The former Wesfarmers General Insurance COO had been working as Lumley Acting CEO alongside Mr Matcham since his appointment earlier this year.

On Friday a Lumley spokesman confirmed Mr Bhatia is now the official CEO at Lumley General, although Mr Matcham will formally stay on at the company until his retirement in June.

“David Matcham is continuing to work with Vivek Bhatia in managing the transition prior to his retirement,” the spokesman told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
