Japanese insurer Mitsui Sumitomo has presented Vero with its “Best Marine Claims Agency” award for the Australian insurer’s work during the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami.

While Mitsui Sumitomo concentrated on its domestic claims, Vero’s marine team looked after related claims in Australia and across southeast Asia. The award makes special mention of the team’s accuracy and speed.

“This kind of acknowledgement from such a respected and influential company is a fantastic achievement for our marine team,” Vero EM Claims and Improvement, Commercial Insurance, Chris Brettell said.
