Vero takes on Wallabies sponsorship

Vero has taken over parent company Suncorp’s sponsorship of the Australian Rugby Union and the Wallabies national rugby team.

The Suncorp Group has been associated with the Wallabies since 2003, but Vero has now taken over this partnership as the group’s sole commercial insurance partner for the 2011 to 2013 seasons. This includes this year’s Rugby World Cup.

The deal means Vero branding will be displayed in stadiums during Wallabies games in Australia.

Vero Executive GM Intermediated Business Andrew Mair says Vero “has a lot in common with the Wallabies”.

“With the World Cup in New Zealand this year, it’s a great time to be involved with the Wallabies and build on our partnership.”

Last week Wallabies coach Robbie Deans addressed a launch event for brokers in Sydney, which was also attended by Wallabies Kurtley Beale, Luke Burgess, Benn Robinson and Pat McCutcheon.
