Vero is expanding its reach into central NSW in a bid to better understand the needs of regional brokers.

It has brought in three extra business development managers (BDMs) to service the region that takes in Wagga Wagga, Albury/Wodonga and Bega.

Executive GM Intermediated Distribution Andrew Mair says Vero started expanding its national BDM program in 2007, helping it to develop a better understanding of brokers’ needs.

“We’ve had great success having BDMs in regional areas, and this year feedback from brokers identified an opportunity for growth,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

Previously the area was serviced by BDMs based in Bendigo, the ACT, Wollongong and Sydney.
