Underwriting agency United Underwriting has acquired hospitality specialist Guardian Underwriting.

United MD Glenn Simpson, who is also MD of Perth-based Lawsons Underwriting, says the acquisition will see Melbourne-based Guardian’s five staff, including director Alan Mackay, join the business.

Guardian specialises in hospitality industry underwriting solutions and Mr Simpson says he hopes to strengthen those relationships as well as add new facilities and take the company national, with new offices planned for Perth and Sydney.
