Uncertainty lingers over Centrepoint Alliance

The future of listed premium funder Centrepoint Alliance remains unclear amid a two-week share trading halt imposed at the company’s request.

As reported last week, the company has appointed corporate advisers Grant Samuel as the directors “consider options with respect to the company’s funding, strategy and capital structure”.

Centrepoint Alliance MD Richard Cawsey told insuranceNEWS.com.au the company should be in a position to update the market on Thursday.

The company reported a $565,000 interim loss in March as losses in commercial finance activities eroded gains made by its profitable premium funding unit.

Directors have since restructured the company to focus on the premium funding business.
