UK advisers to scrutinise Suncorp

Suncorp isn’t yet prepared to name the four advisers being brought in from the UK to help new CEO Patrick Snowball get a handle on the group’s operations.

They are in addition to former RSA CEO Bridget McIntyre who, as previously confirmed, will assist Mr Snowball as he settles into the job.

But spokesman Jamin Smith declined to provide the names or details of four more executives being brought to Australia from the UK for three weeks.

The executives, who will arrive at the end of this month – four weeks after Mr Snowball started work at the Brisbane-based bancassurer – will provide advice in the areas of banking, life insurance, general insurance and actuarial activities.

“The CEO’s on an intensive program to understand all parts of the business,” Mr Smith told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

“These advisers will share their views with him and will feed into his views in terms of how the business is operating.”
