Trowbridge to chair MDA
John Trowbridge will add another entry to his crowded career when he takes up the chairman’s role at medical defence insurer MDA National on December 13.
He replaces Graham Reynolds, who is stepping down from the MDA National board.
Mr Trowbridge is a former executive member of the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority, Chairman of the Federal Government’s Natural Disaster Insurance Review established after the January 2011 floods and a former member of the Treasurer’s Financial Sector Advisory Council. Previously a leading actuarial consultant, he has also served as the chief executive of a major general insurer and is currently a member of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission’s External Advisory Panel.
He describes MDA National as “a solid organisation with a heritage of strong financial and risk management. It has achieved significant growth over the past 10 years.”
Mr Trowbridge has been an MDA director for the past nine months.
