Cairns-based broker Joe Vella has joined forces with NSW underwriter Julie Pernecker and Hollard Insurance to form a new caravan park underwriting agency.

All Parks Insurance, based in Wyong on the NSW Central Coast, specialises in caravan parks, holiday resorts and lifestyle villages.

Ms Pernecker has worked in the sector for more than 15 years, starting out at the family-owned underwriting agency Parks Insurance, which was sold to Wesfarmers’ in 2006 when her father Robert Meyer retired. She resigned from Parks Insurance earlier this year.

Hollard GM Distribution Gregory Mullins says the new venture illustrates his company’s philosophy of investing in people who show expertise in particular areas.

“We are delighted with the start the business has made and it’s a credit to her relationship in that market,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
