Trident Underwriting becomes Coast Insurance
Marine specialist Trident Underwriting has rebranded as Coast Insurance to reflect its expansion into other areas of commercial cover and its operation as a standalone agency.
The Steadfast agency has moved from being part of the Perth-based Trident Insurance Group, which continues to provide broking services, and has widened its offering beyond marine.
“Marine will always be an important part of our portfolio, but we have been offering covers to the non-marine sector for several years now and we are excited to formally launch our offering and expertise to a more diverse range of niche markets in which we feel can make a true impact,” Coast Underwriting GM Stephanie Muller said.
“These include unoccupied premises, barbers and hairdressers, funeral parlours and other specialised areas. We want to be recognised as delivering the best solutions in these fields.”
Trident started in 1994 with a yacht club insurance scheme before expanding with a suite of services in hull classes and marine trades.
The underwriting agency says the Coast rebranding maintains a nod to its marine heritage while reflecting the broader offering it now has across more areas.
Coast’s security remains unchanged, with various binding authorities backed by Lloyd’s and HDI Global Specialty.
