Broker-focused insurer TravelCard has sent staff to Bali to assist policyholders affected by the Mount Agung volcanic eruption.

CEO Michael Tauber says the customer support team phoned policyholders when the eruption happened and staff travelled to Denpasar once the airport opened.

The insurer, which is underwritten by Hollard, would cover flights and accommodation changes due to the eruption, he said.
