Sydney-based Trans-West Insurance Brokers is to join broker group IBNA, marking the end of a 19-year partnership with Steadfast.

GM Pieter Versluis told insuranceNEWS.com.au the business is looking for a fresh challenge.

“We have been a very happy member of Steadfast, but we looked at it from an overall point of view and thought it was time to step into a different space.

“There will be different relationships with different brokers and insurers and it’s really a bit of refreshing. We wanted a different challenge for our business and staff.”

IBNA Chairman Gary Gribbin says Trans-West will bring considerable expertise to the group. The move will take effect on July 1.
