Top Suncorp man jumps ship to join Lumley
Suncorp’s EGM Corporate Portfolio, Commercial Insurance John Nagle will join Lumley as COO Intermediary Partners, starting in May.
Suncorp also lost its niche personal lines EGM, David Richards, to Lumley earlier this year. He was originally appointed GM Lumley Business Solutions, but was last week announced as COO Corporate Partners.
Earlier this month Lumley lost five senior marine insurance staff to QBE. Managers Robert Hammersley and Neil Hiller defected to run QBE’s new Marine Special Risks unit alongside business development managers Jodie Drinnan and Steve Nicholson and assistant underwriter Jake Hesson.
The appointments are the latest in a string of changes at the top of Lumley since Wesfarmers General Insurance COO Vivek Bhatia was named to replace retiring CEO David Matcham in June.
Also announced last week was the promotion of Lumley’s National Relationship Manager David Pearce to the new position of GM Strategic Relationships.
