Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance has developed a cyber product for the Australian market.

The Japanese insurer recently hired Alice Hung as Senior Development Underwriter Cyber Insurance, to support the move into cyber insurance.

Ms Hung is based in Sydney and joined from Chubb, where she was a financial lines underwriter for more than three years, according to her LinkedIn profile.

“It is intended that Tokio Marine will provide cyber solutions to the corporate and SME market and its existing Japanese-focused clients,” the insurer says.

Tokio Marine also says it will continue providing security to Bonded Global Australia, a specialist surety underwriter and arranger of surety bonds here and in New Zealand.
