Tim Plant commences IAG strategy role

IAG says former Zurich executive Tim Plant has started today in the newly created role of Chief Insurance and Strategy Officer.

Mr Plant will be responsible for governance across underwriting, claims and customer experience, together with developing and driving strategy implementation. The role includes responsibility for IAG’s innovation and ventures activities.

IAG announced in July that it had appointed Mr Plant, previously Zurich Australia General Insurance CEO, and that he would join the company before the end of the year.

Mr Plant’s previous roles also include executive positions at NSW state-owned insurer icare, QBE and Swiss Re.
