Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has appointed Melanie Slack as CEO Australia and New Zealand, effective immediately.

Based in Sydney, Ms Slack will manage strategy, development and performance in the region’s commercial insurance markets.

She is relocating from Hong Kong, where she was head of life and health products for Swiss Re Asia, managing teams in eight locations, including Australia.

She joined Swiss Re in 2002 and has more than 20 years’ (re)insurance experience across Canada, the US, France, Germany, the UK and Switzerland.

CEO Asia-Pacific Fred Kleiterp says Ms Slack is an expert in her field and has been instrumental in the group’s operations in Asia.
