Sura’s Craig Patterson set to depart
Underwriting agency Sura has today announced Chief Underwriting Officer and Executive Director Craig Patterson will leave at the end of this month.
Mr Patterson joined the agency as MD in 2009 and has played a critical role overseeing its growth.
Gross written premium increased to more than $340 million from $50 million under his management. He engineered the introduction of the AUB-owned agency’s shareholder-based model and substantial profit growth.
“The structures and procedures he put in place during his time… continue to help our team excel to this day,” MD Angie Zissis said. “While we’re sad Craig is leaving Sura, we’re tremendously thankful for his contribution as a leader and a friend to many of us.”
Mr Patterson, who will continue to assist on a consultancy basis, says the business will continue to flourish.
“I believe Sura is the pre-eminent underwriting agency in Australia and its focus on delivering quality outcomes for all stakeholders has set it up for continued success,” he said.
