Specialist underwriting agency group Sura is partnering with Guild Insurance’s intermediary division Acerta to provide professional indemnity cover across multiple portfolios.

Acerta works with brokers to develop commercial insurance products that are distributed through their networks. Guild Insurance was established by the Pharmacy Guild in 1963 to provide professional and business insurance.

The agreement will allow Sura Professional Risks to increase its policy capacity in professional indemnity insurance and give Acerta access to a new cohort of professions such as financial planning and accounting.

Acerta GM Barnaby Williams said: “The technical expertise [Sura Professional Risks] has complements our focus of partnering with specialists. We look forward to supporting the team’s long-term strategy for growth.”
