Suncorp has formed a partnership with the New Zealand Automobile Association (AA) to sell financial services, building on its ties with the motoring club.

AA Finance will offer loans for cars, motorbikes and boats when it launches later this year.

“I couldn’t think of a better partner… to launch this offering to New Zealanders, given Suncorp’s long-standing relationship with the AA,” Suncorp New Zealand CEO Paul Smeaton said.

The partners have a deal to jointly sell general and life insurance products through AA Insurance and AA Life.

“The success of the partnership has encouraged both organisations to look beyond those insurance products to the financial services sector,” AA CEO Brian Gibbons said.

Besides motoring services and advice, AA provides insurance, finance and travel products.
