Suncorp partners with NSW SES

Suncorp has announced a collaboration with the NSW State Emergency Service (SES) to help assist communities across the state.

The insurer says the agreement, which its AAMI brand will represent, will help support “key strategic priorities” of the NSW SES and improve community resilience through education initiatives on staying prepared in the event of a disaster.

NSW SES Commissioner Carlene York says the partnership will provide a boon for NSW communities severely impacted by flood and storm events in the past year.

“Through this generous support from AAMI, the NSW SES will be investing in programs and education campaigns that are designed to increase resilience at a local level and enhance community preparedness,” Ms York said.

“The partnership aims to support volunteer efforts, highlight shared learnings, and bolster overall capability for the NSW SES.”

Suncorp CEO Insurance Product and Portfolio Lisa Harrison says she is “proud to back the many thousands of SES volunteers who provide emergency assistance to Australians when they need it most”.

“As an insurer we see the significant commitment of SES volunteers who work on the frontline after every natural disaster, and we look forward to working in partnership with NSW SES over the coming years,” Ms Harrison said.

The collaboration adds to Suncorp’s existing partnerships with the Victorian and Queensland SES.
