Suncorp offers mobile phone-based facility for motor claims

Suncorp has launched a mobile phone-enabled facility for selected customers to upload images of their damaged vehicles, speeding up the time it takes to complete the repair processes.

The Customer Vehicle Image Capture (CVIC) allows photos to be directed via a secure link to a central location where they can be accessed by the workshops tasked with the repairs.

Having instant access to photos of damage will help repairers work out the scope of works and make the necessary orders for parts before the vehicles are taken to workshops, Head of Motor Claims Anna Cartwright says.

“Suncorp has recently fast-tracked a number of digital solutions to ensure insurance claims continue to be resolved quickly, she said.

“From increasing WebChat capabilities, extending online claims functionality, offering virtual claims assessments for commercial and consumer property to the latest CVIC initiative, the group continues to embrace technology and digital capabilities to enhance the customer experience.”
