Suncorp names its commercial team

Suncorp this afternoon announced its new commercial insurance structure and executive leadership team. The changes are effective from today.

Group Executive Commercial Insurance Mark Milliner says the new executive team “includes a mix of the current leadership teams as well as three newly promoted managers from Suncorp and Vero”.

The structure “reflects a product-centric business model with areas of focus around customer development, claims, and distribution”.

“This allows us to leverage the strengths of the businesses we are bringing together,” he said in a statement.

The new appointees are:

Andrew Mulvogue, EGM Customer Development, Workers’ Compensation;
John Nagle, EGM Customer Development, Corporate;
John Rogers, EGM Customer Development, Commercial SME;
Neil Singleton, EGM Customer Development & Claims – CTP;
Denise Bofill, EGM Commercial Insurance, Intermediated Distribution;
Gerard McDermott, EGM Commercial Insurance, Direct Distribution;
Mark Coyne, EGM Workers’ Compensation, Claims;
Paul Smeaton, EGM Commercial Insurance, Claims;
Natasha Fenech, EGM Commercial Insurance, Strategy;
Matt Pearson, CFO Commercial Insurance.

Mr Milliner says the new shape of Suncorp’s commercial insurance business “demonstrates the greater focus we are placing on our intermediaries”.

“Denise Bofill, who is leading the new division dedicated to our intermediary channels, has a wealth of knowledge and experience that comes from 15 years in the insurance industry.”
