Suncorp has appointed Fiona Thompson as Acting Chief Risk and Legal Officer, following the resignation of Anna Lenahan.

Ms Thompson has been Chief Risk Officer – Insurance since February, after holding other risk and general counsel roles with the company.

“An internal and external search continues as we look to secure a permanent replacement for the role,” Suncorp said on Friday.

Ms Lenahan has departed to become Group General Counsel at Commonwealth Bank.

At Suncorp she was involved in initiatives including a strategic legal review program and various capital raisings.

Her resignation was announced in June and took effect on Friday.

Suncorp also announced last week that Kristy Huxtable has been appointed Company Secretary. The position is also held by Darren Solomon.
